I saw some of the other tiled benches you posted before and it gave me the idea to tile mine. It turned out great! Thanks for the wonderful photos, JM.
More beautiful tiles! I enjoy maxing the photos to see the details. Love the birds interspersed with the flowers on this one. Is there a particular reason for the predominance of the colour blue?
Details give me a sense of the whole of an item: just as the whole creates a need to see the detail. These tiles - and the variation in the way they have aged - are delicious to look over.
This typical Portuguese-styled tiling is so nice! By the way, thanks for your visits and comments on Luna's blog. Actually Luna is the one who deserves most credit for providing an interesting blog, 'cause she's really cute! (okay, this is certainly biased but... you would agree, wouldn't you?) :-) Cezar & Léia
Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Sorry for the glitch - again. I appreciate your patience. Come back tomorrow for more of Fairhaven!
Great composition. As the decoration fades, it kind of becomes more precious. I'm taking a break from blogging, but will visit your fine blog from time to time, JM. Kindest regards from Amsterdam.

I never get tired of looking at those blue tiles!
There must have been a plethora of tile folks in the 18th century...or did the trend continue?
They are very beautiful, for sure!
Lovely old tile!
