Nightmare

This is what Carcavelos beach looked like yesterday when I arrived at 7.30 pm! I left, of course, and ended up having some delicious snails and cold beer at a nearby beach bar, watching a gorgeous sunset. It's really hot these days!

Wow,busy day at the beach! It looks like it was a real struggle to find a little spot in the sand.

That doesn't look like fun. I'll join you at the bar.

At 7:30 pm?! That kind of crowding is inhuman. I would run away too.

Yes, so hot. It seems like this year's summer will never end.

Oh no! I have never seen that many people on a beach in my life. I also haven't eaten snails in about thirty years!

That's madness, take another seat at that bar. Great shot anyway...

What a great photo, JM! I think you're title is right on, too! Sheesh! What a mess!

Way too many people on that beach. I would leave too, but I'm glad that you stayed long enough to get this picture. There is a lot of color and interest in that mass of humanity.

So all those people are there to relax, aren't they? Interesting. I would also end up watching sunset and siping something nice far from this crowd:)

Very colorful & I don't blame you for leaving & going somewhere else - that's TOO MANY PEOPLE!

Oh, man, how can anyone ever enjoy holidays like this? Instead of having fun one will just get mad fighting for space on the beach and a little sun... Good thing about Luxembourg is that it never gets crowded! :) And by the way, summer here is quite mild...
God bless you!

I feel for you! This is a horror story! Did you go for a swim later on? I love your new header btw!

One thing we don't have in Ramsey are crowded beaches, and I am so glad. Very claustrophobic image.

That truly is a nightmare

The ocean is 57 degrees on this far western side of the Atlantic - keeps the crowds down. I have two thoughts. 1. There must be a lot of children and adults that get lost and 2. This would make a great puzzle.

It is certainly very crowded. Is that a Streets Ice-cream beach umbrella I see?

Hilda said...

Eek. I love the beach but not when it's this crowded! Move over and order me a cold beer too! :)

Such crowds are probably a good thing. If you want to be with people you know where to go. If you want peace and quiet, there is plenty of that away from the beach, since half the population has gone to join the crowds.

Summer is fantastic for the beach but the crowds are not.

Wowee! Now that is one packed beach. Maybe they are sardines. I'll have a cold one with you. MB

OMG
The beach is full :(
Not a good place to relax ;)
I was yesterday on our beach,
it was only 25gr but wonderful weather for relaxing in the sun :))
On our beach are not so many people
;)

Goodness, this is even worse than here in Barcelona!
I absolutely love your header, by the way. Algarve? Doesn't look too much like the Lisboa area.

It may be a nightmare, JM, but it's a beautiful photo. I'm not surprised you left, but glad you took the shot.

I wonder where do they come from,
what is the transportation.
The parking lot must be very large!!

I've seen very crowded beaches in Australia but never as late as 7:30pm. A beautiful, colourful shot.

Wow, being in a crowd like that would not be fun at all, but it did make a great photo!

WOW! I hate beaches like that... I rather go early in the morning on some secluded beach and enjoy the sea....
