The tile is so unique. I wonder why it isn't more universally used?
superbe mosaïque sur les murs de la maison, c'est un très beau travail des artisans
the tile looks very different on concrete blocks, but the tile is very pretty & I like that 2nd floor balcony.I'm off to check out the Tile Museum now
Beautiful tile work. You have to enlarge the photo to see the detail.
I never get tired of that beautiful tile!
I love the way the windows work so harmoniously with the tile. Beautifully designed, wonderfully captured. Thanks, JM.
Such a beautiful shot from portuguese tiles,I love the bleu colors :))
Wonderful!. Love the azulejos and have visited the museum. How could they put ad signs and some utilities box on a building like this?
It's just so beautiful :)
Lindo casarão, belíssima fachada de ladrilhos. Parabéns por este belo blog e também pelo incrível Travelling!Um abraço, de Sonia, São Paulo, Brasil.
1509? Wow, that is pretty historic! :) It seems they're about to cover the rest of the facade with tiles? Guess it would also look nice!God bless you!Cezar
So beautiful. It must make you smile when you come home. Is it an insurer next door? ;-)
I'm crazy about portugese tiles JM.This hous is fabulous!
Beautiful work it is.
Une façade vraiment originale !
Wonderful exterior!
You have many tiled buildings, benches, walls, etc., in Oeiras. But this example, I think, is especially attractive. Rich and lush looking!
You have some of the most beautiful buildings I've ever seen. I like the angle of the photo too, how it fills the 'frame'
Magnificent! And it's being used as an office building? I like how the sign is small and discreet.
I can't get over the number of tiled buildings you show ... is it reserved to old buildings only ... they must be very tedious to do.
I love the blue tiles. So beautiful. MB
splendid :)
Beautiful Portuguese building. Although, I think it could have done without the AXA signs.
i love these tiled buildings. I wish the world had more of them
My favorite ... the amazingly intricate tile work that is so prominent all over Portugal. Adoro!!
