Coldest day this winter

The title says it all, so I spent the day at home watching what was going on in many parts of the country.

It looks like Minnesota winter has reached Portugal! What a shock! Why didn't you go outside and build a snowman?!

Lots of snow here in Ohio, too. We have about 9 inches on the ground right now. Stay safe and warm, my friend.

Did you even have some snow on the coastline, in Oieras? Brrr!

Leif and Peter, it's snowing in the north and east, not here. Temperatures in this area still are above 0ºC...

Oh, you be very careful, JM!

Looks familiar! Not the typical weather for your country I guess.
Stay warm and have a nice week despite the conditions:)

Good idea! That's what I do when the weather gets like that here, stay inside.

Staying home was an excellent choice!
Here in New Mexico, we're VERY cold (10F)and a bit of snow on the ground.
I just run outside to grab some firewood and
retreat to the house.... .

The people who can stay home and sit it out until the worst is over are lucky.
The pictures are scary. I had to drive on snow and ice several years in Chicago and HATED it.
Wishing you all a thaw soon.

So you didn't escape Daisy? ;-)

Yes, do something nice, and enjoy life at home!
it is still cold where I am, but not as cold as it was a few days back.
Anyway, I still think all the info. about global warming must have lost a chapter or two....
I bought my self an "orkide" this month. Your air plant is unique! i looked it up via google... I have never heard about it before.

No snow in Barcelona, but 30 to 50 cm less than 30 minutes driving from here. It even snows in Sevilla!

Looks like staying home was the best thing to do!

A very good day to stay at home!

Lowell said...

These are not pictures of your area, right? But maybe close by? I thought you were sub-tropical...

If I saw that on TV I'd stay inside, too.

This is simply beyond belief. Snow in Portugal. It must be that the apocalypse is at hand.

stromsjo said...

A perfect day for not being out on the roads over here and - I'm sure - at your place. Take care.

Wolynski said...

Very funny. Well, you photograph what you see. Quite sensible to stay indoors. Very unfortunate timing of that Copenhagen global warming summit, eh? Everyone is having the worst winter in history.

Joan Elizabeth said...

What fun ... if you can stay inside and watch from a distance.

As far as I can read Portuguese, that part of PT hasn't had similar snow storm in the past 15 years? Did you go out to make a snowman? :)

And all I can say is BRRRRR!!! MB

Probably a wise idea to stay at home away from that mess! It has been very cold here too, but no snow.

Isn't that unusual for it to snow in Portugal? You guys don't get snow there, do you?

Looks like Portugal's experiencing the same weather as the UK. If it wasn't for the Portuguese titles, these could be screenshots off BBC News.
