It looks like during the winter there is no one to sweep the sand off the steps.

I wish I could walk barefoot on that beach! It's minus 25 degrees Celsius here in EAGAN - maybe even too cold to go outdoors for ice-skating!

It might be wintery but the footprints suggest there have been plenty of people who have walked down to that beach.

Actually you do have a place called something like Finisterra, right? Where pilgrims from the Camino throw their ragged clothes into the sea.
