Back from the Southwest

The small fishing village of Carrapateira dates back to the period of Moorish occupation. It's located on the Vicentine Coast (southwestern Portugal, 280kms from Lisbon), in the heart of a wonderful natural park, containing a great number of marine and terrestrial wildlife species.

From these two shots alone we get a sense that this was a wonderful holiday.

The first view is impressive, the second so neat and old fashioned, with some modern frills. The white buildings have the elegance of simplicity.

Oh my that's a GORGEOUS view! Would love to view it in person! WoW!
My brother was stationed in Rota, Spain a while back in the Navy - just south of the Portugal/Spain border.

The lovely white and blue remind me of Greece. Just a beautiful town JM. It's gray and chilly here. I need the virtual vacation!

This looks like a lovely place to visit. very picturesque. And thanks for asking about my knee. i am now out of physical therapy and it has been almost four months since the surgery and I seem to now being doing much better and am able to bend down. I will see over the new few months whether my knee is fully improved when I start bending down more and more for all of the wildflower and spring flower photos. I hope all is well. we will post Tanzania photos soon on our viva la voyage website. Tanzania was awesome.
