This is fascinating...private house? It looks more like a castle, but I guess a castle is usually a private house. Very impressive and sturdy and I would guess it would stand up well to the bad guys and the elements!

If you have read the books or seen the movie, this castle/house looks like somewhere the Baudelaire children would have an adventure in "The Series of Unfortunate Events." If I ever make it to Portugal, this black roofed place is high on my list of "must see" places.

It looks more a fortress than a house, the black roof is beautiful but with the greyness of the rest of the building a dark red would have been more appropriate.
