December Tropical Delights (II)

Blooming Lantana and Bromeliad at Oeiras
It's amazing how some tropical plants bloom under the average 7ºC this week. It is very cold for them... and for us too! :-)

JM, we have Lantana in our warmer months but I do not think that I have seen this melange of colors... so refreshing to see in December!

Love the rainbow colours. Diane

They are beautiful JM! Here lantana grows only in pots:(
We also have average 7C this week, but it's -7:)

Fantastic floral images, JM! A nice contrast to the snow many are experiencing.

Re your not being able to see the image on «Louis'» post today - he had to re-post today's image - he was having a problem with Blogger. Try this.

Great colors, very exotic.

I'd like to have something like these flowers within my reach. Every plant is so dull and grey around here.

Sorry, I should have left my comment on this blog about the Poinsettia that you posted.
You might want to look on my blog post (I'm going to post it today) "Soon a Fade Memory."
I'm curious what a photgrapher thinks about another rendition of this plant:)

My mother had a bromelia indoors for years when she lived in Holl. They must be very hardy plants!

They are sooo beautiful. Even forgetting that I'm in the middle of Moscow winter. Colors!
Please wear the scarf! Sounds like crazy mommy))))

Refreshing site in our WHITE world this afternoon. Thanks for the memories.

I'm still laughing at the tripod irony! :) Perhaps Santa mixed up our presents! Beautiful color in these photos. We have lantana also, but during the winter it shrivels up.

Parecem fotos tiradas noutra estação... quem diria que estamos com este frio e chuva!

Those are gorgeous flowers. 7ºC? We might get that warm early this week. But the forecast says by Friday high temperatures will be -14ºC and low temperatures around -19ºC. No tropical flowers here!

These blossoms are such a gift. Thank you, JM.

Such lovely, tropical flowers! All I have are some normal, "boring" geraniums in your window at home!

Joyful! That's the way these photos make me feel. Such great colors.

Sorry it was so cold for you. We were in South Florida which was warm enough to run around in shorts and T-shirts...but it remained cold in Ocala. We're heading to 20 degrees (F) again tonight! Ugh!

The flowers in the first photo look familiar...I think we have them here, too.

The lantana is so lovely. The color really woke me up.

Gosh, so unusual for us further north...
Very beautiful!

I always like the many bright colors the Lantana has---but not the scent when you crush the leaves. LOL MB
