Facing East

It doesn't seem to be the same building I posted yesterday but it is the Pena Palace, King Fernando II's architectural mixed style 'delirium'.

That is quite a surprising mix of architecture for King Fernando II! Maybe he didn't listen to his royal architects and royal interior designers, non?

Fantastic and amazing that it's the other side of the same building from yesterday! I love it! And so colorful! Have a great evening and a lovely weekend, JM!

I would not have thought this was the same building. Both shots are gorgeous. I can't decide which is my favorite.

Beautiful and majestic view, so much to see within the composition.

This is crazy. This face of the castle couldn't be any more different from yesterday's if the king had held a competition looking for opposites.

Perfect title since the architecture reminds me of the mideast. Beautiful light.

So Disney wasn't the first, but I like King Fernando's version better. This is a wonderful place. Love that color in yesterday's post. I wonder how much the place would sell for. I might have to take a second job to afford this dream :)

It's certainly not what I expect for Portugal. Some people just like things extra "fancy" I suppose. There's no accounting for taste. ;-)
