Quite incredible that those tiles are still in such good shape and that they have cracked all to pieces or lost their color. Beautifully composed photo!
In so many other parts of Europe, someone would have used cans of spray paint to write all over these tiles. I'm glad the people of Portugal seem to have more restraint.
T.Becque's comment surprises me... green? On my screen I see mustard yellow. Still, both shots are beautiful. I'm glad you show us the short and long views.

So beautiful! Portugal is definitely on my list of top places to visit once we get back to Europe. And I hear they have golf there too... :)
Incredible. I love tile work.
I'm always impressed when I see them!
Beautiful!
Wonderful! But... what do you call azulejos when they're not yellow???
Also, I posted last night 3 pictures of the Inhabitable Sculpture, on my other, non-Barcelona blog. Then, an hour later, I saw your post...
They are so pretty! Looks like they have been well taken care of too.
It is always strange to see these beautiful tiles out in the open...
Really beautiful tiles. Something I always associate with Portugal
