No, it isn't ever too late to share this! I was a very young girl during WWII, but the horror one saw in the news films at the theaters during those days left pictures etched in ones mind. Later, when I lived in Germany, I visited a number of the prison camps and the horror was even more deeply etched! We must never, ever forget! Thank you for this post, JM!
Though I am too young and even my mother was too young in Nazi Germany to have known this horror, I will never allow it to be forgotten. I have been looked at perversely at society dinners when I have voluntarily interrupted anti-semitic remarks coming from the poshest of Parisians...
This material is fascinating in a perverse way... It is useful to remember the horrors of the past but without ignoring the actual dangers of the present.

I've been to many holocaust museums and they always seem to bring me to tears. These newspapers are certainly startling.

A sad post, but of course something we MUST not forget. There is a Holocaust Museum fairly near here and we definitely plan to visit it this year.
