You can find the most interesting things on the back streets, don't you think? I remember my very first trip to Europe, first stop London. I was walking along the street a took a turn on to a very narrow passage way. When it opened up, I found a blacksmith shoeing a horse. Here I was in the middle of one of the world's biggest cities and I found this quiet, rural scene. I've taken the small passages wherever I travel ever since.
Vibrant colors and this place is loaded with character...can't help but wonder who lives there and how they came to live there and what they do for a living and if they own the place and do they want to sell and move and...
So many questions, so little time. And you started it all in motion! :-)
Might be a back street, but it looks like a lovely place to walk -- warm looking with the old yellow buildings and as always (or so it seems) your bright blue sky.

Neat location. The vines capture your eye, but that old yellow paint with the green door really jump out.
I love quaint back streets and the way the houses have grown together at odd angles. Obviously before council regulations end nosy town planners.
They obviously didn't know that you were coming. Because then they would have moved the car for the famous photographer!

Happy Sunday and thanks for stopping by.
There are so many beautiful and walkable places where you live.
Always an adventure to wander the back roads. Color found here.
Great shot! Love the yellow buildings against your always gorgeous blue skies! Have a great week, JM!

What can beat the charm of old world Portuguese back streets?
Quaint and very charming
I am fascinated by this structure - the architecture is definitely unique and whimsical!
Great image....love the diagonal shadow that falls across the door. Would be great to find this without the vehicles sometime.
So picturesque! This must be on the Atlantic coast, and yet it really resembles the Mediterranean style? Love it!
What an adorable place!
With modern cars...

Nice old building.
Strange contrast with the modern vehicles...
