Hmmm lembrei agora do pastel doce delicioso que comi numa confeitaria tradicional do bairro. Os azulejos são maravilhosos, e aquela janelinha no teto eh linda. Muita pena que deixaram o predio nesse estado! Léia
Oh, such a sad sight now, but you can still see parts of the original beauty! The tile work is wonderful! I always enjoy this series, although the decay is sad, I love the glimpses of the past! Enjoy your evening, JM!
a real shame that it is in such a state of decay. just look at the tile work in the facade, how amazing would it be to rehabilitate this building. i can see the tile work shining and being the focus again, as i imagine it was during its heyday.
At first I thought it wasn't as bad as some places you've shown us, but when I looked more closely, it really is decaying badly...and what a shame. It looks like a very nice building.

Great shot, but a shame this building is not being preserved. With the economic woes that Portugal is struggling with at the moment, I can;t say I am surprised... But, people must be fed first!

It is a shame JM, it looks like it would have been pretty special in it's time.
There's something about this amazing place that makes me sad ... and yet in awe of the amazing picture it makes ... it sets my imagination afire!!!

It could be any worn building in a sunny climate but the tiles make it Portuguese.

Your decay numbering has me confused ... you jumped from the 30s into the 50s.
I'm also confused as to why only some of the windows are shuttered in this building - though it makes the photo more interesting.
With its lovely tile and grill work, I hope this townhouse gets rescued.

Still easy to see that it was once a beautiful building; shame it was let to disintegrate.
