How beautiful! An acquaintance once told me he loved Mediterranean countries like Portugal. When I pointed out that Portugal was on the Atlantic Ocean coastline he looked dumbfounded and said - "Oh, yes, I suppose so..."
Only European capital ???Perhaps they did not take our peripheral country as European ;) I just admired glorious sunset few days ago in our capital Helsinki over the sea and hated the situation where I did not possibility to take photo :) So you can think also latitudes and times of sunsets, I can tell that you can see sunsets over the sea in Helsinki during winters. You know, before posting this I was looking at the european map and wondered about the sunsets in Tirana (Albania), but actually this city is not by the sea. Helsinky never ocurred to me because I thought it was facing east. And if you think Finland is peripheric, what shall I say about Portugal in this corner of Europe? LOL!

Really? I've never thought of that! Although you can watch the sun setting in Stockholm and Finland too...
On the East coast of Australia we don't see the sun set over the sea but the sunrises are nice.

I just sent a postcard to a school Guimaraes for their art project, since Guirmaraes is the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2012.
