Nice photo JM. I get these birds in my garden when they come to eat our loquats (nesperas). They aren't even scared of us, they carry on eating even if we shoo them away!
Nice shot of the little blighter that is the bane of anyone trying to grow fruit in the suburbs. We're 80km out of town and are lucky enough nor to have them here . . . we have plenty of other fruit eating parrots and possums to wreck our orchard.
Beautiful bird; you got a wonderful shot of him and his food. We have a green-fronted Amazon parrot and always marvel at her dexterity while hold food and eating, just as this one is doing. Off now to check your link.
Me encantan tús últimas fotos el graffiti, super divertido, gracias por recordarnos que hay algunas especies en peligro de extinción. Un saludo y sigue haciendo tan buenas fotos.
Thank you for this image, Jose. They are, indeed, endemic. I have a fig tree close by and these brilliant creatures invade the area at dusk. I adore them.
Thank you for your contribution to the portal's first National Day. Your participation is much appreciated.
Thanks for finding something Aussie for our day Jose. I feel such priveledge living among such colourful birds. These particular ones are a very rare visitor to our parts. They prefer to live closer to the coastline so are common in Sydney. But as you know we have plenty of its 'cousins' to bring joy to our garden.

He looks quite happy with that apple!
What a beautiful bird, though it sounds as if its brethren aren't such welcome neighbors down under.
Didn't even know it was National Day. I could have photographed my crawl space. It's 'down under'. hahahaha
The colours are so bright! Perfect for a National day celebration!
Pretty colors and cool photo. He likes you better than the fish do.

See lots of these in the trees in my street in the morning. Beautiful birds.
My father had three as pets at home until he let them escape recently. One of them was taught to speak.
Oh well done JM, this shot made me feel right at home, nice one!
Excelente contribuição.
