Wonder where the code takes you to on the internet! Would love to see.

LOL! I'd like to see the gadget big enough to scan that.

That is one puzzle that would take a mathematician and a very long time to solve. Good talking point though.

I don't know if this is a recent photo, but Rio de Janeiro is already using these signs in public spaces since last January. It's in a proper size to be read by smartphones and leads you to information in internet about the surroundings.

@belohorizontedp: The photo is recent but the QR Code was made last year in July.

Excellent! The first thing I thought when I saw this photo was how much that looked like a QR Code. Very clever idea. Nicely done.

Amazing concept JM, but even more than that I soooo enjoyed the glimpses of your beautiful city on the video.

What a great idea, video was a fun link. It is also interesting how QR codes came and went as an internet fad.

Loved the walking shopping bag. ;-)

Can't help but think that one must roll over the code, whole body, to "scan" it.

I'm still trying to figure out what this technology is all about...and now I see it in the streets? Yikes!

Seriously, 'tis very interesting. But where are we going with all this stuff? There's so much to know, so much information "out there," I get overwhelmed sometimes. :)

Brilliant! I love the contemporary use of traditional materials.

So did you scan it?

At first glance, I thought the shopping bag holder was wearing odd shoes. Love the mosaic tiles. I photographed every one of the Portuguese pavement mosaics along the Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro in Macao.

I haven't used a QR code yet ... just one more bit of technology to cope with like Facebook and Twitter. I like technology (having worked in IT for 40 years) but I have decided that some things I am just going to let pass by ... this is one of them.

Have you tried scanning it with your cellphone? :)
