Iberian Mask Festival 2013 (4 of 4)

These drum players from Galicia, Spain, have performed for several hours non-stop. Definitely some of the best I have ever heard. The guys in the middle make amazing sounds using the metal part of a hoe. Fantastic!

JM, I have really enjoyed this series. This must have been fantastic to watch and photograph and in the case of the last photo, to listen to. Such colors and excitement. The guy in the middle shots gives the phrase "handsome devil" a whole new meaning.

What a kick that must have been. Super costumes, although that one in today's post is a bit frightening! Maybe you can get your photos into the international media and drum up some additional tourist business? :)

Incredible incredible captures, I would've loved to have heard the drum players too! I used to work (pre-Princeton) not far from a public park where a drum corp would gather. What great musicians.
