The new huge and gorgeously modern coach museum building is ready. There has been great controversy about the subject once it costed a fortune in this times of austerity but the truth is construction started before this blody economic crisis began. Controversy continues as the opening is only schedule for 2015 because of a number of 'reasons' - it's one of those preposterous situations beyond imagination!

This is such a beautiful place, it will be interesting to see how the new one looks.
When I fist looked at your shot, it reminded meow the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. So glad the project was not shelved. I am fully aware of the straitened financial circumstances in so many nations.

Politics aside, it really is a spectacular venue and it's a great idea to have a museum for these coaches. Hopefully, public and tourist visits will help pay for this amazing and worthwhile endeavor.

Reminds in of our visit to the Thai royal barge museum upriver from Bangkok. Plain waterside building but the flotilla was jaw-dropping.
Do you get the TV show Amazing Race there. The coach museum was one of the featured spots early this season. I felt so smart to have known about it from one of your previous blog posts!
