Surviving Crashing Waves For 460 Years

São Julião Fort at Oeiras

This must be a spectacular view today: Code Red on the shoreline with waves up to 7,5 meters and 100 Km/h winds. I will miss that for obvious reasons...

A stormy Christmas. We have rain and grey skies. God Jul.

Most of what we build now won't survive... Pretty bad storm, 240000 people without electricty in the West of France...

Merry Christmas JM!

That would be something to see but I wouldn't want to be caught in it.

I love the water, but don't like storms and stormy water...such incredible power. Beautiful shot, though!

Hope your holidays bring joy and peace to you and yours!

Beautiful surf! It's amazing how some of these old structures are still standing yet we have modern day ones that are collapsing.

Great waves like battering rams crashing on the coast. I love places with stormy seas.

Have a wonderful, wonderful Christmas and thank you for your visits throughout the year.

Hope you have survived the bad weather and had a good Christmas.
Ours wasn't as hot as they usually are which was a nice surprise and much better for us to eat outdoors with our big group of friends.
