It's cold to stay outside, terrace bars are empty...

Beaches are at their most beautiful and wild in winter.

Lovely photo, even if it's cold. Winter and palm trees - that's a strange concept to me, as I've never lived anywhere with palm trees.

It may be cold, but it is a beautiful day...

A perfect time for a walk on the beach -- cold perhaps, but so beautiful and how terrific to have it all to yourself!! Wonderful capture as always, JM!! Merry Christmas!!!

Looks lovely! We are having a major ice storm here!

That's exactly how I feel here. Unless they have some heavy duty heaters, I'd rather be inside.

It is a pretty sight, even if it is cold.

The solitude would be nice. I would just throw on a coat and take a walk.

I know it can be chilly in southern Europe at this time of year. We've been in Granada in February and seen people going out to ski. But this coast holds so much promise of pleasure in a few months.

I can so relate! I love the beach any time, but the winter is special. I especially love the emptiness and that golden-orange winter light. I wish I could step right onto that walkway! Have a warm, beachy, Merry Christmas, JM!
