They do look lovely and their fruit has medicinal properties but here in Australia they are a copious weed.

When we lived in Spain, I brought home an entire bag of prickly pears to snack on. (They were selling them real cheap.)

Oh yes, that absolutely is a beautiful specimen. I don't think I've ever seen one like that with a trunk like a tree!
I can't remember ever seeing a tree like this one. Marvelous!

I really like the way they pruned this. Don't believe I've seen a prickly pear tree before.
