beautiful colors of this very special bird, especially the casque of horn on top of the head. I surched on the internet and came to the sam result as you: this bird defenitly is a cassowary.

Ooh another bit of Australia in your blog. You might remember by unsuccessful attempt to see one in the wild when we were up North last year. Mind you if I had seen one I would not have got a great shot like this. They have a dangerous kick so I would have been keeping my distance.
