This is such a wonderful photo! The surroundings are gorgeous but, the framing is superb.
Oh, my, but you composed this treasure so beautifully. Mine eyes dazzle!glyonscu
This is a charming place. Interesting how Arab architecture is admired in the Western world, as it should be. We have a Moroccan-styled house near us on the beach in Costa Rica, designed by a Costa Rican architect.
How beautifully ornate and what a wonderful composition! I'd love to visit that palace!

What a magnificent structure, JM. The Islamic influence works so well here.

I'm just going to have to visit Portugal...
It's so beautiful.
What a gorgeous hallway. Ah, the beauty of the old palaces. From the floor to the ceiling it is a magnificent work of art. Your picture of it is awesome. genie
What an amazing place.
Lindo este lugar. Uma boa dica para se visitar.
Oh my gosh I love this picture. Just draws you in -- it is just beautiful golden scroll work and angles and a wonderful picture.
I never thought about it, but did the Moors occupy Portugal as well as Spain? What is left is a magnificent legacy. We will never forget our day at the Alhambra.
Stunning interior architecture and decoration!
magique ! :)
What a truly beautiful hallway ... the intricate designs and colour tones are lovely.
Beautiful and superbly shot
@Bob: Yes, the Moors accupied the territory in the 8th century. Portugal became a country in the 12th century because our first king expelled them for good then. Their legacy is vast: architecture (many of the castles are still standing), the tile industry, vocabulary, etc.
Last week I saw a TV program about Sintra, and I will add it on my list / wish list I mean.A wonderful place on this planet!
Que lindeza! Ficou perfeitamente apanhada!
